我們主要的目標是合成出新的磁性錯化合物，並使它具有奇特的物理和化學性質。我們有興趣的磁性錯化合物主要分為兩種，第一種稱為單分子磁鐵，這是一種多核的金屬簇化合物，它可以在低溫下展現出磁鐵的特性。第二種稱為價電子互變異構物，這種化合物在不同的溫度下具有不同的電子組態，同時也具有不同的顏色。於是我們可以利用這個特性，將這一類化合物應用於光學記憶的材料。此外，對於一些已知結構的磁性錯化合物，我們也可以藉由配基置換反應對分子的自旋，分子間作用力以及氧化還原電位進行微調。 |
